Black Friday, un venerdì da record per il mobile

È stato un “venerdì nero” da record per gli Stati Uniti: nel corso del giorno successivo al Ringraziamento, tipicamente caratterizzato da sconti in numerosi negozi a stelle e strisce, ha infatti registrato in incremento del 24,3% nelle vendite rispetto allo stesso giorno del 2010. In crescita anche l’e-commerce legato ai dispositivi mobile, sempre più utilizzati per fare compere online.

Il traffico online per gli acquisti nel corso del Black Friday vede infatti una percentuale vicina ai 15 punti per smartphone e tablet, mentre lo scorso anno tale segmento del mercato elettronico era fermo al 5,6%. Focalizzando invece l’attenzione direttamente sugli acquisti effettuati dai dispositivi mobile la percentuale si assesta al 9,8%, in sensibile aumento rispetto al 3,2% del 2010. Sempre più persone, insomma, utilizzano il proprio device per effettuare shopping online.

Nel complesso, secondo alcune statistiche, l’e-commerce mobile è cresciuto del 500% nel corso dell’ultimo anno: tale dato proviene direttamente dai database di PayPal, che ha segnalato un simile incremento nel corso dell’ultimo Black Friday. Secondo Coremetrics, invece, circa il 17% delle visite ricevute da 500 dei principali portali di vendite online nel corso dell’ultimo venerdì sarebbe legato a smartphone e tablet, mentre lo scorso anno tale percentuale si aggirava intorno ai 5 punti.

A dominare le classifiche vi sono in prima fila i prodotti Apple, con iPhone ed iPad in prima e seconda posizione, seguiti a ruota dall’esercito Android. Da soli i due device della mela morsicata hanno catturato circa il 10% del traffico nel web per gli acquisti nel corso del Black Friday, mentre tutti insieme i dispositivi basati sull’OS di Mountain View hanno superato di poco quota 4 punti percentuali.
